The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (EMJMD) offers EU-funded scholarships for designated programmes. A list of the programmes currently on offer for 2015/2016 can be found here
You will be able to apply to a maximum of three programmes and if successful you can expect to be covered for your participation costs such as your tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs of the course, a contribution to your travel and installation costs as well as a subsistence allowance for the duration of the programme.
Similarly, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (EMJD) offer EU funded fellowships for doctoral programmes, which offer fellowships covering up to three years of doctoral activities. Here the focus is generally on a research theme. You can find a list of currently offered programmes here
Another option to look into is Erasmus Mundus Partnerships. These intend to bring together higher education institutions from Europe and other selected regions of the world by managing mobility flows between two particular regions. These partnerships target members of all academic levels ranging from undergraduates to post-doctorates and even academic staff. The scholarships you can apply for here usually cover your costs for participation, subsistence and insurance as well as a contribution to your travel expenses.
The best way to find suitable partnerships is to browse the current list of offers for nationals of your country.
Since last year you also have the opportunity to apply for new Doctoral Programmes and additional doctoral fellowships under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. These actions aim to support researchers from any country, at all stages of their careers, across all disciplines. If successful, you can not only expect generous research funding, but also additional possibilities to gain experience abroad and/or in the private sector, providing you with more versatile training which could aid your future career.
