General Description
The Senate of France and the Descours Dessacres Foundation offer awards to doctoral dissertations related to the fields of bicameralism, local collectivities, or political and parliamentary life. The first-prize award consists of 9,000 euros, 6,000 of which should go towards to publication of the dissertation. Also, every two years, an award is given to a dissertation related to public finances. The winner receives 6,000 euros for the publication of the dissertation.
Requirements
The dissertations must have been successfully defended before being submitted to the award. They must also be written in the French language.
