General Description
The Foundation for Science and Technology together with the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon promotes the Prize for Scientific and Technical Translation in Portuguese. This award will distinguish the translator of a work published between January and December of the year prior to the award. This award is intended for translators with published works that have not been subject to any award granted by another institution. The winner will receive €5,000 and the second place will receive €2,000.
Requirements
Contestants must submit tow copies of the original text. Also they must send three copies of the work in contest. The translator will need to submit curriculum vitae. The translations must be different than literary works, works of an institutional nature, works that are translations of translations and instruction manuals.
