General Description
The City of Graz offers this scholarship on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Karl Böhm (1894-1981), the famous conductor and honorary citizen of the city of Graz. The scholarship scheme was launched in 1979. It is awarded once a year to promote young Austrian orchestra musicians. The scholarship currently amounts to € 2.200,00. The scholarship will be awarded to candidates who have finished their studies at the Art University of Graz and who have proven records at one of the famous Austrian orchestra.
Requirements
The scholarship will be awarded to applicants who have been committed within one year after completion of their studies at the Art University of Graz on the basis of special performances at one of the most renowned Austrian orchestra.
