General Description
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships for artists interested in continuing their education in Germany. A monthly amount of 750 euro will be provided for a maximum of one academic year (extensions are possible if required by the relevant study plan). Travel allowances, rent subsidies and family allowances can also be awarded.
Requirements
These scholarships are open to international applicants who are active in the fields of fine arts, performing arts, design, film, music and architecture. Applicants must have gained a recognised educational degree in their home country (if this is not possible, they must have exhausted their educational opportunities in their home country). Candidates must have completed their last degree in the last six years. German nationals or permanent residents of Germany who have lived there for more than 15 months cannot be granted these scholarships.
