The University of Birmingham makes the Chamberlain Award available to students in financial need. This annual award is worth up to £2000. It is an annual award. Payments are made to students twice a year. This award is available to Care Leavers also. Care Leavers can be awarded up to £4750. Scholars are reassessed on an annual basis.
This award is open to UK residents undertaking their first undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham (with the exception of NHS-funded degree programmes and Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes); applicants must be liable for the full standard undergraduate fee (£9,000). Applications from students progressing from a foundation degree or transferring from another institution will not be considered. The household income of applicants must not exceed £36000.
