Top graduate students in the Humanities at Oxford University can get an Ertegun Scholarship. At least 10 students benefit from the scholarships each year. The award covers the full cost of tuition fees. It also includes a grant for living costs valued at almost £13,800. Successful applicants also get to use special facilities including Ertegun House. The award is given for the duration of the graduate course. If the course lasts more than one year there is a review to check academic progress.
Ertegun scholarships are given to the best students in particular disciplines. Students have to be accepted onto an approved course. These courses include Classics; English Language and Literature; Fine Art; History; Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics; Medieval and Modern Languages; Music; Oriental Studies; Philosophy; and Theology.
