General Description
The Merit Scholarship is awarded by the “Studienpräses” of the University of Vienna. The award is funded with resources granted by the federal ministry of Science, Research and Economics. This scholarship is assigned independently from other stipends and may be assigned retrospectively. It is awarded once per year during the winter semester. Total funds are dependent on the number of graduates at the University of Vienna. The minimum amount is 750€ and the maximum 1.500€. Budget is allocated according to the number of students in each field of study.
Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the standard period of studies. Applicants must be EEA citizens or “equivalent aliens”. Students must have completed at least 30 ECTS (20SWS respectively) with a weighted grade point average not higher than 1,80.
