Students who come from low income backgrounds at the University of London, Queen Mary, can apply for one of the 700 National Scholarship Programme awards that are available. They are worth £2,000 per student. The scholarship is awarded to first year students in cash.
There is no need to apply for this scholarship. Eligible students are contacted automatically by the university. The criteria for eligibility includes being an English domiciled student and coming from a household with an annual income of less than £25,000. Students also have to be undertaking their first undergraduate programme and be in receipt of the full, non-repayable Maintainance Grant. They must also have a record of high academic achievement.
