In order to help students with low household incomes, SOAS and the National Scholarship Programme offers 90 scholarships. These scholarships are for students who are studying degrees that will lead to a career in their chosen field, as determined by the university. This includes Economics, Development Economics, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese (Modern and Classical), Politics, Music, International Management for China/Japan/Korea/MENA. is worth £2,000 in cash.
To be eligible for this scholarship students must study single honours degrees leading to a career in a profession, as determined by the university. They must also meet or exceed the academic entry criteria. They should be undertaking their first undergraduate degree, be ordinarily resident in England, and come from a household where the annual income is £25,000 or less.
