General Description

The University of Northampton and the National Scholarship Programme offers 293 scholarships to students from low income backgrounds. These scholarships are worth £3,000 and are paid in two parts. The first part is a £2,500 tuition fee waiver, with the remaining £500 paid to the student directly. It is paid for up to two years.

Requirements

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students with a permanent home or school address within the university supported region. They must also qualify for student support from Student Finance England and come from a home with low household income. Applicants must pay full tuition fees and be first time undergraduate students. Students who study Agriculture Arboriculture, Applied Animal Studies, Building Services Engineering, Civil engineering, Construction Management, Countryside and Wildlife Management, Equine Management, Horticulture, and Garden Design and Land Management at the Moulton College, are not eligible. This is because Moulton College has its own scholarship package. Students who are supported by the Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland government are not eligible either. There is no need to apply for this scholarship as it is automatically awarded.
