The University of Chester offers 380 scholarships within the framework of the National Scholarship Programme. These scholarships will provide a package of benefits to eligible students; at the University of Chester, this package will be worth £4000 and will consist of £800 cash, £200 'in kind' benefit and £3000 fee waiver, all given in Year 1. In addition, recipients of the National Scholarship who have progressed to the next level of study will be eligible for a Chester Plus Bursary, which is an additional £1000 of support: £500 in Year 2 and £500 in Year 3.
These scholarships are open to prospective first year students of undergraduate degrees taught at the University of Gloucestershire. Applicants must be permanent residents of England; their household income must not exceed £25000. Underrepresented groups such as care leavers, mature students and students with disabilities will be given priority.
