General Description
The City of Vienna offers grants to support students facing unforeseen financial hardship through the process of writing their final degree thesis or doctoral dissertations.
Requirements
The purpose of these grants is to provide financial backing to Diplom and doctoral students of Viennese higher education institutions who are affected by unexpected adversities (death of a relative, parenthood, illness) which may jeopardize the successful completion of their final degree theses or doctoral dissertations. Therefore, candidates will be asked to prove that they will be financially incapable to complete their studies if they are not granted additional support. The scope of the research conducted will be also considered during the grant-awarding process; the research topics chosen by applicants must be Vienna-related. Candidates must be Austrian citizens and permanent residents of Vienna.
