The European Union is offering the Erasmus Mundus Action 2: Avempace mobility scholarships to promote European higher education, to help to improve and enhance the career prospects of students and to promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, in accordance with EU external policy objectives in order to contribute to the sustainable development of third countries in the field of higher education. Universities of destination are: Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Yarmouk University, Tafila Technical University in Jordania, in St. Joseph University (Jordania), Birzeit University West Bank, Islamic University of Gaza in Palestine, and Aleppo University, Arab International University, Damascus University, Tishreen University in Syria. Length: Undergraduate: 4-10 months; Master: 4-24 moths; Doctorate: 6-10 months. Value: Undergraduate and Master level: EURO 1,000; Doctorate level: EURO 1,500; plus travel costs depending on the distance between home and host University; tuition costs and insurance.
Applicants must prove they are living in a EU state; must be enrolled in any undergraduate, master or doctorate programmes at any of the Avempace Partner Universities in the EU; must have sufficient knowledge of the language of destination.
