The European Union, through the Erasmus Mundus programme EULALinks, offers mobility and cooperation opportunities to undergraduate and master's students as well as university staff from Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay and Venezuela who wish to do a study or research placement in a partner European institution. All successful applicants will receive a monthly allowance to cover living costs in the host country for the duration of their mobility, a travel stipend, and insurance valid for the entire mobility period in the host country. Students are also exempted from the payment of tuition fees. Allowances vary from 1,500 to 2,500 euros per month depending on the length and type of mobility.
Applicants must be nationals of one of the eligible countries and have excellent academic results. Applicants should also have sufficient knowledge of one of the languages spoken in their host country. Preference is given to ethnic minorities and to disabled and economically challenged applicants.
