The Municipal Stuhr is the benefactor behind this award. Living and working scholarships for the bohemian-site Stuhr-Heiligenrode are granted to two artists per year from Bremen or Lower Saxony. Only exceptionally talented artists in the fields of Painting and Sculpting are considered. Successful applicants will stay for 10 months at the bohemian-site and receive a monthly installment of 1.400€ plus an extra 75€ for site expenses. Living and working space is granted by the Municipal Stuhr. Further the creation of a catalogue is subsidized.
Artists in the fields of Painting and Sculpting may apply. Applicants have to be graduated from a public Arts School, no longer than 5 years ago. Young artists with exceptional talent and without an academic degree may also apply. Only applicants from Bremen and Lower Saxony will be considered.
