General Description

The Schlieben-Lange programme for young scientists with children is funded by the Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts (MWK) and the European Social Fund (ESF) and is aimed at supporting young scientists working on their doctoral theses. The goal of the programme is to increase the number of women with children who are eligible to assume professorial positions. To this end, doctoral stipends in the amount of 1,200 Euros per month are awarded. The support is initially paid out for two years and may be extended for one further year.

Requirements

The stipend is open to doctoral students at universities in the Badem-Wuerttemberg region. Applicants should be active in a scientific field. Stipends are exclusively available for women with children and are aimed at allowing women to manage family obligations more easily alongside their scientific education.
