Scholarships in Belgium

Belgium families receive direct financial support from the government to allow children to progress through the educational levels up to tertiary levels. Scholarships are therefore not normally available to nationals but they can be awarded scholarships and grants to pursue studies at a foreign university or within the EU region.

Only one in eight secondary school graduates with good grades apply for scholarships. This is because many have misconceptions about getting funding. Here are some of the common misconceptions.
